Just got back from a great night out with Luanne. We went to an art gallery opening. The Green House Gallery showcases the work of local Houstonians who share a passion for environmental issues. One of the artists, Elizabeth Cencini, displayed her work at Vox Culture's Global Cafe in August. We also met and hung out with a couple other artists: Victor Rojas, a furniture maker, and another Vox artist, Dune-Micheli Patten, who afterward introduced us to House of Pies (apparently a fine Houston tradition) and Bayou Goo.
It feels really good to finally do the things I moved to Houston to do.
